In this intensive you'll discover everything about working with long satin gloves, big feather fans, boas, and tassel twirling!
This intensive has similaritites to Essential Burlesque, but it is not identical.
Bring a button down shirt and dress for movement and comfort.

Performance Fundamentals
December 13, 1-6 pm
If you have ideas for acts, this workshop is for you! Bring whatever you've got--from an idea and a bit of music to any costume pieces you may be considering.
We will discuss three elements of creating an act:
Choosing music
Costuming styles and assembly
Choreography development
Plus, we'll discuss tips for getting booked.
Expect Sensuality, Confidence, Self-Invention, and Fun!
Bring a large bath towel or beach towel.
There is no performance showcase associated with this class.
Limted offer: Get both classes for $175
Wear close-fitting clothes that you can move in, as you would to take a dance or yoga class. All shoes are welcome in the space
Bring a water bottle or other beverage. We will take a snack break midday. You may bring food to eat during this break, but not a full hot meal. You must take all your garbage out with you.
You will receive an email statement from paypal that your payment went through; this is your confirmation. You will not receive a separate confirmation from NYSB.

You do not need to be a performer or planning to perform to take these classes. This intensive is suitable for beginners, as well as for experienced dancers or other types of performers curious about the language of burlesque.
