Although you can learn from this workshop without committing to perform, this class is for you to create a performance art burlesque routine with guidance and professional direction. If you have no idea at all what you'd like to do, you should bring one-three pieces of music you like. Bring whatever you've got--from an idea and a bit of music to a full routine you want to workshop. It is highly recommended that you bring a few pieces of music you have thought you might use for a number on a cd, even if you have nothing solidly planned for a number, as music selection will be discussed extensively.
At NYSB you will be learning from the most experienced teachers and entertainers in burlesque! We've put hundreds of performers onstage, many of whom have gone on to award-winning careers in burlesque!
You may want to bring a notebook and a copy of The Burlesque Handbook to this class.
