Transform Your Creative Process with Meditation and Movement


In this class you will release blocked energies in the body and channel those forces into new creativity using yogic movement, meditation and breathing practices. As a performer, you are used to using the body as a tool to express your ideas. But did you know that everything that happens over your lifetime gets stored in the body? This workshop taps into the galaxy of intelligence in your body, a limitless resource that will speak to you. You will leave class refreshed, renewed, and with at least one new idea in your pocket. Wear comfortable clothing, but better leggings than sweats; loose clothes can get in the way. Optional: you may bring a yoga mat and/or cushion. No experience with yoga or meditation necessary. About Lisa Kirchner

About your instructor: After 15 years in marketing , working with such organizations at the Ohio Arts Council, The Andy Warhol Museum, Ketchum Public Relations and the Tribeca Film Festival , Lisa Kirchner ditched the corporate world and moved to India to study yoga and meditation from the masters. The work enabled her to explore her own artistry. She regularly hosts yoga and meditation workshops, performs at storytelling shows and teaches writing. Her first book, Hello, American Lady Creature: What I Learned as a Woman in Qatar, is due out in April 2014.
